Free digital skills workshops, with a young mentor right beside you.

Get more out of your phone, tablet or computer, at your own pace. Each session is led by one of our young Digital Mentors, with seven more mentors in the room, so there is someone beside you the whole time. What you can learn

Every session is built around things you will really use, with a young Digital Mentor right beside you the whole time. Come for the topic that tempts you, and leave with something you can put to work the very same day.

Turn the photos on your phone into something you will love showing off

Most of us have hundreds of photos tucked away on our phones, and not nearly enough of them ever get seen. In this session your mentor shows you how to bring yours to life, one easy step at a time, and sends you home with photo tips and tricks that make every picture you take from here on a better one.

  • Lock it downStay safe onlineKeep your bank details and passwords protected, connect to networks safely, and tell a real message from a fake one. Simple habits that keep scammers out and your peace of mind in.
  • Make roomA tidier, roomier deviceMove your files to the cloud, clear out the apps you never use and delete the photos you do not need, so there is plenty of room for everything you love.

And bring your own questions. Your mentor can also help with:

  • Google MapsFind your way, check bus times and plan a trip with confidence.
  • Video calls on any appFaceTime, WhatsApp, Messenger and Zoom, so you can see and talk to family wherever they are.
  • QR codes made easyScan a menu, a form or a ticket in seconds.
  • Everyday AIUse an AI assistant to write a message, plan something or explain it in plain English.

It works both ways

Every session grows two people at once

The mentors beside you are young people studying Spark Leadership, a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Leadership and Management run by Learnivation. Teaching a skill to someone who has never used it is one of the hardest and most useful things a young leader can learn to do.

So while you are learning to spot a scam or make a video call, they are practising patience, plain language and reading a room — and it counts towards their qualification. One hour, two people growing.
